4 things worth doing early
"Students who place into MATH 1113 by any MAP mechanism can receive K-Credit for MATH 1111 only after successful completion (with a grade of “C” or better) of MATH 1113." And: "In order to receive K-Credit, the student cannot have any previous attempts in the pre-requisite course (incl. Withdrawal, Audit, or any other grade)."
"Courses taken to satisfy the KSU’s General Education Core IMPACTS Curriculum requirements may NOT be counted as coursework in the minor." (Core Field of Study courses can count.)
"It is the student’s responsibility to inform and obtain clearance from their other instructors for any missed classes due to a field trip." "Clearance refers to confirmation from the instructor on whether the absence will be excused and/or whether the student will be allowed to make up any missed in-class assignments."
"If the student’s formal complaint against faculty involves behavior that occurred during a course, the complaint must be submitted at the latest within 5 business days after the first day of classes of the next academic term after the academic term in which the student has a complaint."
Gus is an AI college companion built around your actual classes. Record a lecture and it writes the notes, pulls out the key topics, builds a flashcard deck, and makes a practice quiz from what was actually said. The flashcards come back on a spaced-review schedule, so the thing you missed shows up again right before you would have forgotten it. It is free to try.
A perfect 4.0 term goes on the President's List, not the Dean's List
Dean's List is a term GPA "of at least 3.5 (but less than 4.0)"; the President's List is for a term GPA "of 4.0", both with at least 9 graded credit hours.
KSU Catalog — 3.8 Dean's and President's ListsChildren can only make brief visits to campus with an adult
"The university cannot accommodate children of the faculty, staff, and students on-campus during normal operating hours". "Children are welcome to attend scheduled events and to make brief visits when accompanied by a parent or adult."
