5 things worth doing early
Undergraduates have the right "to be provided a substantive academic evaluation before the course withdrawal deadline". So you should know where you stand before you have to decide.
"Complete at least 60 hours at an accredited four-year institution." Community college credit helps, but it cannot be most of the degree.
"Students, departments, and units may not attempt to substitute for a Cardinal Core approved course any University of Louisville course not on the Cardinal Core approved list."
"All missing grades change to failing grades one year after the completion of the semester in which the course was taken." Check your record after every term.
Gus is an AI college companion built around your actual classes. Record a lecture and it writes the notes, pulls out the key topics, builds a flashcard deck, and makes a practice quiz from what was actually said. The flashcards come back on a spaced-review schedule, so the thing you missed shows up again right before you would have forgotten it. It is free to try.
Writing, speech and math by 30 credits
"Students should demonstrate proficiency (through coursework or external credit) in the three skills areas (written communication, oral communication, and quantitative reasoning) before completing the first 30 degree-applicable credit hours earned at the University of Louisville."
UofL Catalog — Cardinal CoreOnce everyone has taken an exam, it is not secret
"Except when otherwise explicitly stated by the instructor, examination questions shall become public after they have been given." Talking about an exam with someone who has not taken it yet is still off limits when your instructor says so.
