5 things worth doing early
"Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in all classrooms and teaching laboratories, including seminars." And "The instructor is responsible for classroom conduct, behavior and discipline."
"All letter grades and WF's are calculated on a 4.33 point system." The transcript legend: "Effective Fall 2001: Cumulative GPA not to exceed 4.33." An A+ is 4.33 in the catalog grade table.
"Courses numbered 300 and above are not open to lower-division students (freshmen and sophomores) except in rare instances, and then only with the approval of the college dean."
For Online Max courses: "A limited number of in-person meetings (not to exceed 25% of the course) may be required, but these meetings must be disclosed to students in the schedule of classes prior to registration."
Gus is an AI college companion built around your actual classes. Record a lecture and it writes the notes, pulls out the key topics, builds a flashcard deck, and makes a practice quiz from what was actually said. The flashcards come back on a spaced-review schedule, so the thing you missed shows up again right before you would have forgotten it. It is free to try.
Probation stays off your transcript
"Academic suspension is noted on the academic record. Academic probation is not recorded on the academic record."
UNM Registrar — transcript legendGraduating? Declare a year ahead
"While commencement attendance is optional, all students must declare their intent to graduate within their specific departments." And "This deadline may be up to one year before the intended graduation semester."
