4 things worth doing early
"When reporting a grade of F, instructors also will report a number corresponding to the student’s "week of last participation" in the course." So "a student receiving the grade of F0 would, therefore, be one who never attended or participated, whereas a student grade of F16 would signify completion of the entire term."
"Unless specifically noted at the time the course is listed in the Schedule of Classes, it shall be assumed that courses taught entirely online will not have in-person final examinations that can only be completed on campus."
To enroll as a continuing student you need "Enrollment in classes at UWM within the past two fall/spring terms (if not, an application for re-entry to UWM must be submitted)". And "The requirement term for re-entry students will be that of the term of re-entry."
"The UWinteriM enrollment limit is three credits." In summer, "the limit is 12 credits during the full term duration, but no more than four credits during any session less than or equal to four weeks."
Gus is an AI college companion built around your actual classes. Record a lecture and it writes the notes, pulls out the key topics, builds a flashcard deck, and makes a practice quiz from what was actually said. The flashcards come back on a spaced-review schedule, so the thing you missed shows up again right before you would have forgotten it. It is free to try.
Religious holiday? Tell profs by week 3
"The student has notified the instructor, within the first three weeks of the beginning of classes (within the first week of summer session and short courses), of the specific days or dates on which they will request relief from an examination or academic requirement."
UWM Catalog — undergraduate policiesRetake a transfer class? The UWM grade wins
"If the UWM course repeats a course for which the student received transfer credit, only the UWM course will be calculated into the GPA, regardless of grade."
